West Ham vs Man United betting tips: Ronaldo and co can get back on track at the London Stadium

A poor performance in Berne has quickly shifted the focus at Old Trafford from Cristiano Ronaldo to the manager, who will come under increasing pressure from the fans if he fails to deliver an immediate reaction to the Young Boys defeat.

However, United appear o be heading to east London at an opportune moment given the hosts will have had very little recovery time from their trip to Croatia on Thursday night, while David Moyes' side are significantly weakened by the suspension of star striker Michail Antonio.

Prior to their 0-0 draw with Southampton last weekend, the Hammers' opening three matches had produced a total of 15 goals and even without their record Premier League scorer, the hosts are going to cause United problems, particularly from set-pieces, an area United really struggled last season.

Despite Manchester United's strong start to the Premier League season, Ole Gunnar Solskjær's side are giving up big chances, even though their xGA of 1.16 is actually an improvement on last term. They only have one clean sheet so far and they needed to ride their luck to come away from Wolves without conceding.

The Reds haven't played particularly well in recent visits to the London Stadium, indeed West Ham should have been out of site in by half time in this fixture last season, before Ole Gunnar Solskjær's men turned it around in the second half.

However, they have the advantage of two extra days rest and their superior firepower should once again ensure they leave with maximum points.

The visitors are a shade of odds on to secure victory but the hosts are fancied to get on the scoresheet so let's boost the price to 23/10 by backing United to win and both teams to score, a wager that has already been successful in the games against Leeds and Newcastle.
