Manuel Lanzini and Jarrod Bowen fired West Ham into the fourth-round of the FA Cup.
David Moyes picked a strong team for the visit of Premier League rivals Leeds United and was largely vindicated. Indeed, while Daniel James might have hit a late equalizer for the away team had he been able to sort his feet out, Leeds rarely caused many problems.
For West Ham, it wasn’t exactly a brilliant performance but the manner in which they controlled the game will have pleased Moyes. A deep squad they may not boast but this group of players are capable of creating their momentum, fighting for each other across all fronts.
All in all, a positive day for West Ham and another example of the London Stadium feeling more and more like home.
