West Ham vs Crystal Palace
Premier League 2019/20 season
Venue: London Stadium
Date: Saturday, 5 October, 2019
Kick-off time: 5:30pm BST
Crystal Palace make the trip across to east London for this evening's derby in the capital.
The Hammers have been much-improved since that opening day thrashing to Manchester City – undefeated since then with a 100 percent record on their own turf.
Palace meanwhile have racked up three wins in their last five with the only blot on their copy book the 4-0 drubbing at Tottenham.
Roy Hodgson’s side have climbed into the top 10 and will be determined to remain there.
West Ham vs Crystal Palace team news
West Ham have been rocked by news this week that goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is facing three months on the sidelines.
Fabianski is seeing specialists in the coming days and the decision will be taken as to whether he needs an operation to repair the problem.
If West Ham feel that Fabianski can be fully rehabilitated without the surgery, it is likely he would be back in action sooner.
Manuel Lanzini meanwhile has recovered from a knock while Jack Wilshere has trained this week.
Palace will be without Luka Milivojevic after he picked up his fifth booking of the season against Norwich while Mamadou Sakho remains a doubt.
Predicted XIs
West Ham XI: Roberto, Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Rice, Yarmolenko, Noble, Lanzini, Anderson, Haller
Palace XI: Guaita, Ward, Kelly, Cahill, van Aanholt, Zaha, McArthur, McCarthy, Kouyate, Schlupp, Ayew
Prediction: West Ham 1-0 Crystal Palace
