Andy Carroll has been handed his first West Ham start in exactly a year as the Hammers take on Brighton in the Premier League.
Carroll, 29, has not started since scoring a brace in a win against West Brom on January 2 last year. The striker, who suffered an injury in pre-season, has made six appearances from the bench under Manuel Pellegrini and has a contract running until the end of the season at London Stadium.
Meanwhile, Frenchman Samir Nasri, who has joined the club on a short-term deal after training at Rush Green since November, is named on the bench just two days after his deal was announced.
The 31-year-old has penned a highly incentivised deal which contains an extension option come the end of the season.
As well as Carroll coming in, Pellegrini makes two further changes from defeat at Burnley with Pablo Zabaleta returning from illness and Pedro Obiang coming into midfield. Michail Antonio and Mark Noble drop out.
For visitors Brighton, manager Chris Hughton makes one change as Glenn Murray, who six goals against the Hammers, comes in for Florin Andone.
Carroll has one goal in 233 minutes played since that win over the Baggies last January.
