West Ham get their pre-season underway this afternoon as they round off a two-week camp in Switzerland with a first friendly of the summer against Austrian side Altach.
Manuel Pellegrini and his squad, aside from those involved in lengthy international action following last season, have been building up to the new season at their camp before heading to China for the Premier League Asia Cup this weekend.
The Hammers boss will want to get a look at his options to lead the line in the friendly with the east Londoners currently short in the striking department following the departures of Lucas Perez, Andy Carroll and Marko Arnautovic as well as the collapsed move for Celta Vigo forward Maxi Gomez.
Javier Hernandez had been angling for a move away once more this summer but this week was handed the No9 shirt. Furthermore fans will be keen to see how sharp the likes of Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko and Manuel Lanzini are.
