West Ham United vs Newcastle United: Lee Ryder's prediction with Gayle in line for start

Newcastle United face a Hammers team that are struggling for form in the Premier League at the moment.

The Magpies are in a patchy phase of form themselves but last won away from home at Spurs back in August.

Steve Bruce has insisted there is no panic on Tyneside, however, even if they lost this weekend they could stay out of the bottom three due to the difficult fixtures for Southampton, who travel to Man City, and Norwich, who head to Brighton.

Lee Ryder's prediction

Newcastle have looked relatively organised defensively in recent games but they know fine well they need to crank things up in the final third if they are to emerge from this one with anything to show for their efforts.

It's why Bruce has been pondering changes this week with Dwight Gayle potentially coming back into the fray for his first start of the season.

In my view Newcastle need to do something drastic in terms of their attacking selection if they are to avoid defeat.

With Gayle in the frontline with Joelinton I think they can get a point.

Referee

Stuart Attwell (Nuneaton)

Was in charge of the 3-1 loss at Norwich.

Charity bet

Dwight Gayle to be an anytime scorer at 12/5
