Trevor Sinclair has delivered a withering assessment of Lucas Digne and urged his former club West Ham United not to sign the out-of-favour Everton star.
Digne hasn’t played for Everton since the Merseyside derby defeat to Liverpool at the start of December.
And his hopes of returning to the team were seemingly hit when the Blues announced the signing of Ukrainian left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko earlier this month.
Then on Friday manager Rafa Benitez revealed during his pre-match press conference ahead of the Hull City FA Cup tie that Digne had confirmed he wished to leave Everton.

The France international has been linked with a number of Premier League rivals, including West Ham, but Sinclair has warned his old side off.
“I think it depends where you want to play him, if you play him as a full-back it’s no for me," he told talkSPORT .
“I’ve seen players from the cup competitions, from lower divisions, give him a horrendous time. He can’t defend one-on-one situations.
“He’s quick, I think he’s got a lot of quality going forward, he’s almost like the opposite to (Aaron) Wan-Bissaka. He’s superb in one-on- one situations and he’s just not good enough going forward... this boy (Digne) is the exact opposite.
“I wouldn’t be overjoyed if West Ham sign him, but there’s a lot of big clubs interested.”
