West Ham transfer plans revealed amid Matty Cash interest

West Ham United boss David Moyes wants to see his side sign young and hungry players this summer with Nottingham Forest defender Matty Cash said to be a serious target.

The right-back has once again been linked with a move to the London Stadium with reports by Football London claiming that the Hammers could reignite their interest when the transfer window opens.

And Cash certainly fits the mould of player that Moyes is keen to attract to East London with West Ham thought to be in the market for a left-back.

"I know about footballers," said Moyes when quizzed by Football London on his summer recruitment plans.

"That idea of getting players who are hungry, who still want to climb the ladder and are trying to be Premier League players, we have to have a mix of that.

“What we have been saying in recent years is that we can buy someone ready-made who can come [straight] in.

"I am saying: ‘Stop. Stop.’ Let’s go for people who we think are young, future internationals.

He added: "We won’t get them all right, it is impossible. We need to bring people in who have got a chance, not just ones who are plugging the gap, take and go away and not giving us anything at the end of it."
