West Ham to face AFC Wimbledon in FA Cup fourth round

West Ham have been drawn against AFC Wimbledon in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The Hammers beat Championship Birmingham City in front of nearly 55,000 at London Stadium on Saturday with Marko Arnautovic and Andy Carroll scoring in a routine, and rather uneventful, win.

Having not made it past the quarter-finals in over a decade, and with no threat of relegation lingering in the Premier League this season, a Cup run would go down a treat in east London.

West Ham were knocked out at this stage last season, a 2-0 defeat at then League One Wigan as Arthur Masuaku was dismissed for spitting at Nick Powell.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini handed full debuts to new signing Samir Nasri and summer arrival Xande Silva in the third round.

The fourth round ties, the final stage at which there could be a reply in this season’s competition, will be played between January 25-28.
