Michail Antonio will miss West Ham United’s Premier League clash with Manchester United.
David Moyes couldn’t put a timescale on Antonio’s latest absence, but did confirm he won't play in Saturday’s clash against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Antonio suffered a minor hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw with Manchester City in October, which kept him out until Monday’s clash with Aston Villa.
Moyes started the 30-year-old in the 2-1 win at the London Stadium, but had to withdraw him at half-time.
The West Ham boss confirmed at his pre-match press conference that Antonio, who has three goals in his seven appearances this season, will play no part this weekend after picking up a different injury.
“Micky is out for tomorrow, we don't know how long he will be out for,” he said. “He is still having a bit of a problem with his hamstring.
“It's not the same injury, we think it is slightly different. In the main we have a fully fit squad.”
Moyes added: “Micky we believed was 100 per cent fit and was ready to go. A fully fit Antonio is someone that gives us a dimension.
“Seb (Haller) is in form, he is getting confidence so we will be looking to him now.”
West Ham will have to be wary of a Manchester United side that have won four from four on their travels in the league this season.
But the Hammers are in impressive form – having lost just one of their last seven.
“What we want to do is keep getting better, make progress,” said Moyes.
“The players have played so well since the first lockdown when we had nine games in six weeks but importantly, the players have kicked on again since then.”
