Javier Hernandez is set to complete a move to Sevilla on Monday after West Ham agreed to sell the Mexican striker in a deal that could reach £8million.
Hernandez handed in a transfer request last week and will finalise his switch to LaLiga before the transfer window closes in Spain at 11pm BST.
The 31-year-old is in the final year of his contract at West Ham and his departure would get his £140,000-a-week salary off the wage bill.
Hernandez struggled to settle in east London after joining West Ham for £16m from Bayer Leverkusen in 2017.
He has been looking to leave and, like with Marko Arnautovic in the summer, West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is willing to sell a player who is not fully committed.
West Ham’s club-record £45m signing Sebastien Haller has already scored three goals this season and Pellegrini is happy with his forward options.
£8m summer signing Albian Ajeti will provide cover for Haller this season.
Hernandez made 61 appearances for West Ham, scoring 17 goals.
