West Ham star Felipe Anderson 'dreaming' of seeing 60,000 fans at London Stadium

Felipe Anderson says West Ham players are dreaming of seeing 60,000 fans at London Stadium.

The club this week struck a deal with landlords E20 which will see the capacity increase by 3,000 from 57,000, with a view to seeing the maximum 66,000 further down the line.

The Stratford stadium has taken hefty criticism since the move from Upton Park, but manager Manuel Pellegrini has, time and again, emphasised that the move was one essential to move the club up a step.

And star man Anderson feels that the boost will make all the difference.

“It’s very important [for the capacity to increase to 60,000],” he told the club website. “For a player we dream of seeing these things when we enter a pitch.

“The fans believe in us when things aren’t going well and especially in these times they can make a huge difference.

“When things go well it’s easy but when we are in difficult times to have the fans there who believe in us is so important, as 60,000 can make so much difference.”

The club are currently awaiting sign off on safety certificates before the increase in capacity, but hope to see it in place as soon as possible.
