West Ham signings Pablo Fornals and Sebastien Haller combine to score in exciting Hertha Berlin friendly

West Ham's two headline summer signings offered an exciting glimpse of the future at London Stadium after combining to good effect on Wednesday afternoon.

After making their respective Hammers debuts in the win over Fulham at the weekend, Pablo Fornals and Sebastien Haller both started once again for Manuel Pellegrini's side during their penultimate pre-season friendly against Hertha Berlin in Ritzing, Austria.

It was a disappointing start as Pascal Kopke fired their Bundesliga opponents into an early lead, but West Ham were back on terms just seven minutes later thanks to their newest recruits.

Haller provided the assist after creating space to receive possession after a darting run through midfield, cutting inside the defender skillfully before providing a low pass to Fornals.

The Spaniard did the rest, taking a quick touch on his right foot before smashing a left-footed drive beyond the despairing dive of the goalkeeper.

Fornals joined West Ham from Villarreal in a deal worth £24million last month, while the club broke their transfer record to sign French forward Haller from Eintracht Frankfurt for £45m earlier in July.

Davie Selke restored Hertha's lead in Austria, only for Manuel Lanzini to hit back with his second strong finish in as many games.
