West Ham second half player ratings: Wilshere superb and Yarmolenko struggles

Roberto - 6

Really didn't play badly at all despite conceding twice.

Pablo Zabaleta - 5

Didn't really figure in the game. Wasn't tested defensively, didn't really venture forward.

Issa Diop - 6

Expertly dispatched a header to make it 3-2 from Wilshere's cross. Subbed off after 67 minutes fo9llowing a solid outing.

Winston Reid - 5

Not much to do, maybe caught out positionally for Altach's second, but it was good to see the Kiwi back on the pitch after 12 months out.

Ben Johnson - 6

Level dropped in the second half as he became a bit erratic, especially defensively. Substituted midway through the second half.

Pedro Obiang - 5

Not much to report. The game passed him by a bit.

Jack Wilshere - 8

Fantastic cross steered home by Diop to put West Ham 3-2 up just before the hour mark. Toyed with Altach and was the best player on the park in the second half, not even close.

Josh Cullen - 5

Tried to force the issue and looked very keen.  Set piece delivery was hit and miss but was quiet.

Andriy Yarmolenko - 5

Showed some nice feints early on in his first outing for nine months, but was quiet. thereafter. Wasn't his afternoon.

Grady Diangana - 6

Looked sharp, but inconsitent. Has been performing well in the training camp and looked confident.  Put himself about and showed great pace down the left.

Javier Hernandez - 6

Showed plenty of energy and effort wearing his new number nine shirt. Not many opportunities but wasn't on the periphery by any stretch.

Subs

Declan Rice (For Diop, 67') - 5

Played at centre half for the first time in a long while.  Not tested.

Sam Byram (for Johnson (67') - 6

Looked like he had a point to prove and did well.

David Martin (for Roberto, 75') - 6

Made a couple of comfortable claims.
