West Ham's remaining league games in top-four race compared to Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham

West Ham United went international break disappointed with giving up a three-goal lead against Arsenal - but the Hammers are still in the mix for Champions League football next season.

On January 1 David Moyes' team were sitting in tenth place, almost three months on the Scot has led the club to 26 points out of a possible 39 with just three league defeats in 13.

The only team below West Ham in the league that the Hammers have lost to this year are reigning champions, Liverpool. With just nine games remaining this season Moyes' men have a fantastic chance at securing European football for the 2021/22 season.

Of the teams above them in the league, the Hammers have only Chelsea and Leicester City to play, both of whom visit the London Stadium in what is looking like a vital set of fixtures this April.

So, how do West Ham's remaining league games compare to their top-four rivals as we enter the final two months? football.london takes a look.

Gareth Southgate pleased with Jesse Lingard return

West Ham - 49 points

05/04 - Wolves (A)

11/04 - Leicester City (H)

17/04 - Newcastle United (A)

24/04 - Chelsea (H)

01/05 - Burnley (A)

08/05 - Everton (H)

11/05 - Brighton & Hove Albion (A)

15/05 - West Brom (A)

23/05 - Southampton (H)

The three key fixtures for West Ham are the ones that see European rivals Leicester, Chelsea and Everton visit the London Stadium.

Two wins out of those matches will go some way to closing the gap on those above them and putting the pressure on.

Without wishing to jinx Moyes' team, the other seven fixtures are the ones that the Hammers have performed brilliantly in so far this season. Bar the unexpected loss to Newcastle on the opening day of the season, Chelsea are the only team West Ham face between now and the end of the season who have beaten them this campaign.

From the reverse fixtures this season West Ham took 20 out of 27 points, the same again would be an excellent return.

Manchester United - 57 points

04/04 - Brighton & Hove Albion (A)

11/04 - Tottenham (A)

17/04 - Burnley (H)

24/04 - Leeds United (A)

01/05 - Liverpool (H)

08/05 - Aston Villa (A)

11/05 - Leicester City (H)

15/05 - Fulham (H)

23/05 - Wolves (A)

Manchester City look every bit champions in waiting and behind them their rivals Manchester United look in a good position to claim the runners-up spot.

Tricky away games at Tottenham, Leeds and Aston Villa could potentially see rival teams close in on them, with home games against Liverpool and Leicester also set to be testing.

Leicester City - 56 points

03/04 - Man City (H)

11/04 - West Ham (A)

24/04 - Crystal Palace (H)

01/05 - Southampton (A)

08/05 - Newcastle United (H)

11/05 - Manchester United (A)

15/05 - Chelsea (A)

23/05 - Tottenham (H)

At a similar stage of last season, Leicester looked set on a top-four finish but after a poor end to the campaign, the Foxes missed out and Brendon Rodgers will be determined not to let the same thing happen again this time out.

Of their nine remaining games, Leicester face all five of the other top six teams with important games against Manchester City and West Ham their next two and then three vital fixtures to finish the season.

Currently seven points clear of the Hammers, the Foxes are most definitely catchable due to their tricky fixture list.

Chelsea - 51 points

03/04 - West Brom (H)

10/04 - Crystal Palace (A)

24/04 - West Ham (A)

01/05 - Fulham (H)

08/05 - Man City (A)

12/05 - Arsenal (H)

15/05 - Leicester City (H)

23/05 - Aston Villa (A)

If Chelsea faced this difficult set of fixtures under the leadership of Frank Lampard there might be a few more worried faces at Stamford Bridge. However, after a huge improvement under Thoams Tuchel's management, the Blues will feel confident going into every match.

Chelsea are still in both the Champions League and the FA Cup so face a busy eight weeks between now and the end of the season.

Tottenham - 48 points

04/04 - Newcastle United (A)

11/04 - Manchester United (H)

17/04 - Everton (A)

01/05 - Sheffield United (H)

08/05 - Leeds United (A)

12/05 - Wolves (H)

15/05 - Aston Villa (H)

23/05 - Leicester City (A)

Spurs don't have that bad of a final set of fixtures having already played the likes of Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea twice.

However, they do still have some tough away games on the agenda at Everton and Leicester City, with Manchester United at home also a decisive match.

Liverpool - 46 points

03/04 - Arsenal (A)

10/04 - Aston Villa (H)

17/04 - Leeds United (A)

24/04 - Newcastle United (H)

01/05 - Manchester United (A)

08/05 - Southampton (H)

11/05 - West Brom (A)

15/05 - Burnley (A)

23/05 - Crystal Palace (H)

Of the current top six, Liverpool only have Manchester United left to play this season so a favourable fixture list could see the reigning champions push up the table.

After a disastrous title defence and an awful start to 2021 - just four league wins in 13 matches - Jurgen Klopp's team need to find some form and quickly, if they want to challenge the teams above them for a Champions League spot next season.

Everton - 46 points

05/04 - Crystal Palace (H)

12/04 - Brighton & Hove Albion (A)

17/04 - Tottenham (H)

24/04 - Arsenal (A)

01/05 - Aston Villa (H)

08/05 - West Ham (A)

11/05 - Sheffield United (H)

15/05 - Wolves (H)

23/05 - Man City (A)

TBC - Aston Villa (A)

After two consecutive league losses, Everton need to get back to winning ways as soon as possible if they want to challenge the seven teams above them in the table.

Their away form has been very good this year but they will need to be at their very best to beat the likes of Arsenal, West Ham, Man City and Aston Villa if they are to compete for European football next season.
