West Ham predicted team vs Spurs: Ngakia and Ogbonna decisions made, Anderson axed

West Ham manager David Moyes isn't usually one to make wholesale changes to his side after a defeat but there must be a temptation to do so after the sluggish loss to Wolves on Saturday.

The Hammers were beaten 2-0 by Wanderers after two goals in the final 15 minutes from Raul Jimenez and Pedro Neto condemned Moyes side to defeat and they have now won just one of their last ten Premier League games and secured just five points from the last available 30.

It doesn't get any easier as they travel to north London to face Jose Mourinho's side just four days later having not played competitive football for three months prior to the weekend.

Moyes will have a decision to make at right back over Jeremy Ngakia. The defender has still yet to put pen to paper on a contract extension and football.london understands its unlikely the defender will be committing past June 30, meaning the Spurs match could be his last in claret and blue if selected.

Moyes has both Ryan Fredericks and Ben Johnson, both coming off the back of long injuries, ready to replace him. Pablo Zabaleta could also come in but his contract is also up after today's game.

The Hammers will be without Sebastien Haller and Robert Snodgrass for the game, Arthur Masuaku is also a doubt, while Angelo Ogbonna has returned to training but hasn't played since March.

Below is our predicted team for the game that we think Moyes might deploy as the Hammers search for a desperately needed win.

We have dropped Ngakia amid his contract negotiations and replaced him with Ryan Fredericks, who came off the bench against Spurs though it is a coin-flip between him and Johnson as to who gets the nod in our team.

We have also brought back Ogbona into the centre of the defence if he is fit, meaning Declan Rice can go back into midfield having played alongside Issa Diop at the weekend.

Whether Mark Noble at 33 years of ag can play two games in four days is up for debate but for a derby game of this magnitude and considering West Ham's league position, it seems unfathomable that he won't play a part.

Michail Antonio should lead the line once again but with a change in formation for our side, will have support frm Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Fornals in the number ten role, with Felipe Anderson dropped after his poor outing against Wolves on Saturday.

Lukasz Fabianski retains his place in goal, with Aaron Cresswell at left back and Tomas Soucek joinging Rice and Noble in the engine room in midfield, a trio that was playing well together prior to the Covid-19 hiatus in early March.

Up front, a potential wildcard could be Xande Silva to come in to the starting line up for a full Premier League debut, or Albian Ajeti as well, in the absence of a recognised striker in our team if Moyes sees fit to play and out and out frontman instead of Antonio.
