West Ham player ratings vs Manchester United: Kurt Zouma superb on debut as Noble misses penalty

Lukasz Fabianski - The goalkeeper's best performance of the season so far making a number of excellent saves, particularly from a first-half effort by Bruno Fernandes. The Pole is proving David Moyes right to retain his faith in his No.1. 8

Vladimir Coufal - Got forward well and defensively solid as has become the norm for the Czech defender. Uncharacteristically gave the ball away on a few occasions. 6

Kurt Zouma - An excellent Premier League debut for the French international who was calmness personified on the ball and dominant in the air. He organised others around him and looked totally at home alongside Ogbonna. A superb match and surely nailed on as West Ham's top pick at the heart of Moyes' defence. The Frenchman was everywhere in defence for West Ham, tackles, interceptions, clearances, headers; the man did everything. 9

Angelo Ogbonna - Looked assured alongside Zouma in what has the potential to be a fantastic partnership. A number of perfectly times tackles and interceptions summed up his solid match. 8

Aaron Cresswell - Struggles with the pace of Manchester United's attackers and was caught napping slightly as Cristiano Ronaldo nipped in front of him for the first-half equaliser. 6

Declan Rice - As has become the norm Rice drove his team forward well but also on this occasion showed off his passing range often turning defence in attack with quick transitions forward. 7

Tomas Soucek - Dominant in central midfield, winning possession and getting it forward quickly. A threat at both ends as always. 7

Pablo Fornals - Generally excellent in possession and key to transitioning the team from defence to attack with his quick passing. Owes Fabianski a big thank you after the Pole kept Ronaldo out following a terrible pass from the Spaniard. 7

Nikola Vlasic off 68 - Picked up the speed of the Premier League well and already seems to have a good understanding with his fellow Hammers attackers. Tired in the second half but a very promising signing for West Ham. 6

Said Benrahma off - Picked up good positions in the No.10 role and it was from here that opener goal came. There was a fortunate deflection off Raphael Varane but Benrahama deserved that luck for finding the space and having a shot from distance. 7

Jarrod Bowen off 90- Missed an excellent first-half opportunity and has a clear weakness when it comes to finishing. No questioning his work rate and desire though was constantly harrying the Manchester United backline and always a winning runner. 6

Substitutes

Andriy Yarmolenko on 68 - Looked lively when he came on linking well with Benrahma. 6

Manuel Lanzini on 87 - n/a

Mark Noble on 90 - The captain came on for one action but fluffed his lines with a missed penalty.
