Lukasz Fabianski - No chance with Timo Werner's goal and a solid figure throughout as he so usually is. One particularly excellent save from Mason Mount's long-range effort. 7
Vladimir Coufal - Mr. Dependable for West Ham this season, solid in defence and an option going forward. Werner's goal came from his wing but should have been stopped before it reached Ben Chilwell. 7
Issa Diop - He can play it out from the back nicely but is likely to offer up an opportunity to the opposition. Needs constant instruction for his position from his defensive partners. 6
Fabian Balbuena - So unfortunate to see red for a catching Chilwell with his follow-through as he cleared the ball. Had been a dependable replacement for Craig Dawson but now looks to be facing a three-match ban. 6
Angelo Ogbonna - A huge player for West Ham and a very vocal leader on the pitch. Strong in the air and quick to recover when he does make a mistake. 6
Ryan Fredericks (off 82) - Got forward well and beyond Cesar Azpilicueta with ease, one of West Ham's better players in attack. 6
Mark Noble - Does not offer the same athleticism and protection Declan Rice does but you can never question his effort for the cause. Struggled at times with the pace of Chelsea's attack. 5
Tomas Soucek - Long-range passing radar slightly off today with a few cross-filed balls sailing over the heads of their intended targets. Covered a lot of ground particularly once Noble was replaced. 6
Pablo Fornals (off 68) - Quiet game for the Spaniard who was unable to get on the ball as much as he usually does. 5
Jesse Lingard - Marshalled well by Chelsea in the first period where he was unable to have any great effect on the game. Grew into the game and drove West Ham forward as the game went on, not his best game in a Hammers shirt. 6
Jarrod Bowen - West Ham's furthest player forward but the striker was way too separated from his teammates and failed to have a big impact in the first half. The second half continued in the same vein for Bowen as he struggled to get into the game. 5
Subs:
Said Benrahma (on 68) - Saw little of the ball and did not make a huge impact on the game. Greedy shot in injury time when Johnson well placed to cross. 4
Manuel Lanzini (on 68) - Got involved instantly and made himself available at all times to get on the ball, made a noticeable impact on the game, particularly when compared to his fellow sub Benrahma. 6
Ben Johnson (on 82) - Little time to get into the game after Balbuena's red card. n/a
