Lukasz Fabianski - Excellent performance for the Pole against his former team. Saved a penalty and made a tremendous stop to tip Kieran Tierney's effort onto the bar. 8
Vladimir Coufal sent off 67' - Walked a tightrope for a long period of the match after an early yellow card but was harshly treated to see red for what looked to be a good tackle on Lacazette. 6
Craig Dawson - Superb tackle to deny Gabriel Martinelli a sight of goal in the first half and a typically no nonsense display from the centre-back. Numerous fantastic blocks from the defender who had a brilliant match where he seemed to be keeping the Hammers in the game almost single-handedly at times. 8
Issa Diop - Gave the ball away in possession too many times but was strong in the air. Could have done better for Emile Smith Rowe's goal. 7
Arthur Masuaku - Struggled to deal with Bukayo Saka but received little help from Manuel Lanzini, offered little in attack. 6
Declan Rice - Played in a deeper role in the first-half and as a result was unable to influence the game to his usual extent. 6
Tomas Soucek - Defended manfully and covered a huge amount of ground but was ineffective on the ball. 6
Manuel Lanzini off 77- Saw little of the ball and did not offer enough help to Masuaku against Saka and Tomiyasu on the Arsenal left. 6
Pablo Fornals off 85' - Very quiet game for the Spaniard who spent most of it tracking back than on the ball. 5
Jarrod Bowen - As with all of the Hammers attackers it was a quiet evening for Bowen, as always he worked hard and ended the game up front where he attempted to stretch the Gunners backline but without the desired effect. 6
Michail Antonio - Saw very little of the ball in the opening 45 minutes, worked hard tracking back but was wasteful in possession. Had a short stint right-back following Coufal's sending off before heading back upfront in an attempt to get the Hammers back into the match, another poor display from the striker. 5
