West Ham owner 'unhappy' with Karren Brady's Premier League void comments

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan is unhappy that Karren Brady suggested the Premier League season should be declared void, according to reports.

The Hammers chief offered up her opinion on how to deal with the coronavirus panedmic last week.

English football has come to a halt which leaves several clubs unsure as to what the future holds with promotion and relegation still undecided.

West Ham are in the midst of a battle to retain their Premier League status following a poor year.

Brady was accused of self-interested when she suggested the top flight season should be voided.

Sullivan was also not impressed with her comments, especially given the first he heard about them was when he read her column, reports the Daily Mail.

The former Birmingham City owner has a different view and is adamant the season must draw to a natural conclusion.

Currently the Hammers are out of the bottom three on goal difference with them, Watford and Bouremouth all on 27 points.

Brady has since moved to clarify her comments but has maintained her stance that the current campaign should be scrapped.

She said: "Everyone agrees that LFC deserve to win the title. PL &EFL are doing all we can to ensure the season is finished.

"Including suspending games, isolating players, and if required playing games behind closed doors and into the summer months.

"My point was safety of fans, players, staff come 1st & if the remaining games just cannot be played the only fair & reasonable thing is to declare season null and void. Who knows who would have gone down or come up if the PL/EFL games have not actually been played in full?"

Currently the Premier League is planning to resume games on April 30 but that date could still be delayed.
