West Ham news: Manuel Pellegrini's admission about his future, predicted team, injury latest

It is a crucial time for West Ham United and manager Manuel Pellegrini.

The Hammers are in poor form in the league, and now sit just one point above the Premier League relegation zone.

A 3-1 defeat against Arsenal, who themselves were on a poor run in the league, was West Ham's fifth defeat in six games. The team were ahead in the match, but the Gunners turned the game around to give fans a familiar feeling.

Given that form, it's perhaps not surprising that manager Manuel Pellegrini finds himself under pressure, with speculation that the next game against fellow strugglers Southampton could be his last in charge of the Hammers.

So, as the team prepare for the encounter, here is the latest news from the London Stadium from the last 24 hours.

Pellegrini's press conference

With the Chilean manager facing a potentially decisive fixture in his West Ham career, the tone of his press conference was easy to predict.

The 66-year-old faced plenty of questions about his leadership of the team, admitting he was not sure whether he would be in charge after the weekend.

Predicted Team

Andriy Yarmolenko pushing for a recall? Michail Antonio or Sebastien Haller to start up front?

It's a game against a team who had just eight points in their first 12 games of the season, and have picked up seven in their last four.

Pellegrini has some big calls to make for Saturday evening.

Injury updates

With performances under a huge amount of scrutiny at the moment, Pellegrini could do with all the help he can get in terms of returning players.
