West Ham news: Declan Rice praise, Lampard on Barkley approach and Everton's injury blow

It is game day at the London Stadium, as West ham prepare for the visit of Everon in the Premier League at 3pm.

The Hammers will be looking to use the game to bounce back from a disappointing 1-0 loss against Sheffield United in their last outing, in a game where VAR made the headlines for disallowing a last minute equaliser for handball.

Both wet Ham and Everton have had difficult starts to the season, with both making recent managerial changes in the hope of turning their campaigns around.

It has so far been relatively successful for both teams. Although the Hammers will be looking to pick up three points in order to move themselves further away from the relegation places.

Ahead of the match, take a look at some of the latest news from the London Stadium.

Moyes on Declan Rice

David Moyes has said that he wants a team full of Declan Rices as he looks to add to his squad in the January transfer window.

The Hammers have been working hard to bring new faces to the club, but have so far been unsuccessful. But one eye will be on keeping key players at the London Stadium too, with Rice previously being linked to Manchester United.

"What we are trying to do is add to Dec," said Moyes.

Lampard responds to Barkley links

Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard has responded to reports that West Ham made a loan bid to the Blues to take Ross Barkley to the London Stadium.

The Hammers are said to have made the approach to the club with the hope that the promise of game time ahead of Euro 2020 would convince Chelsea and the player to agree to a deal.

However, Lampard has cut off the rumours by insisting that the midfielder is not going anywhere.
