West Ham new boy departs for London to meet his new teammates next week

Pablo Fornals has already enjoyd a brief trip to London since he made his move to West Ham from Villarreal but he is now heading back for a much, much longer stay today (Friday).

West Ham signed the midfielder for £25m earlier this summer which, at the time was the club's second most expensive signing of all time but he has now been pushed down to third after the arrival of Sebastien Haller on Wednesday.

Fornals visited London late last month to get to know his new city and took in the sights, also heading to London Stadium where he saw his new home in person for the first time.

The midfielder has been on his holidays since winning the Euro U21 championships with Spain last month and didn't join the Hammers squad for the Premier League Asia Trophy tour in China.

He has posted on Instagram on Friday morning a photo of himself at Valencia airport

He's likely to start training with his new teammates next week, potentially on Tuesday as the Hammers players fly back from China on Sunday and will get a rest day before getting down to work again back at Rush Green after their arduous journey home from the Far East.

Haller is set to join in with training then as well at the start of next week having not joined up with the team in the Far East following his club-record move from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Both players could potentially make their West Ham debuts in the pre-season friendly match with Fulham at Craven Cottage next Saturday.
