West Ham midfielder Declan Rice caught the attention of some Manchester United fans as he 'liked' an Instagram post which said a 'big transfer window' is on the horizon for the Old Trafford club this summer.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a move away from West Ham, having helped them secure their safety in the Premier League in their penultimate game of the season.
Manchester United and Chelsea have both been mooted as potential destinations and United were interested in Rice last summer, although the club's interest cooled as Rice endured a difficult start to the season with West Ham.
Rice played in every league game for the Hammers during the 2019/20 season and finished the campaign strongly, leading to him being named the club's player of the year on Sunday.
A United fan was quick to spot that the midfielder liked an Instagram post talking about the upcoming transfer window, and how it was set to be a big one for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
West Ham boss David Moyes addressed questions over Rice's future after the Hammers' final game of the season against Aston Villa on Sunday.
“Declan is under contract,” Moyes said. “He goes on holidays now as far as I know. Hopefully he is selected for England.
“He will be back in pre-season with us in three weeks. That’s as much as I can tell you. Rightly so Declan should have attention because he’s such a good player.
“But he’s not going anywhere unless you get one of those steel vans that have the cash in it. You better bring one of them!”
