West Ham make transfer decision - and Nottingham Forest fans will be interested

West Ham United are reportedly set to let Pablo Zabaleta depart the London Stadium and will replace him with academy prospect Jeremy Ngakia.

That indicates that David Moyes' side will not be pursuing a right-back in the transfer window and would appear to suggest a move for Nottingham Forest's Matty Cash would not be on the agenda in the summer.

Cash was linked with a £12 million move to the East London side in January as they planned to replace the veteran Zabaleta, who is out of contract in the summer.

The right-back was also interesting Italian giants AC Milan after a strong season with Sabri Lamouchi's promotion-chasing Reds.

Now Football Insider say that Ngakia will be promoted after his emergence earlier this year after impressing in the Under-23s at West Ham.

The Hammers also have Ryan Fredericks on their books and the coronavirus crisis will almost certainly curtail the spending of top clubs this summer.

According to reports in the national press last night, star midfielder Declan Rice is up for sale as the club look to raise cash.

The Sun say a combination of Moyes wanting to reshape his squad and the impacts of Covid-19 have necessitated the need to sell players.
