West Ham make Declan Rice transfer stance crystal clear amid Chelsea and Man Utd interest

Declan Rice's future is once again in the headlines, however, football.london understands West Ham have received no formal offers for the England star.

The 22-year-old's form for the Three Lions at Euro 2020 has reignited discussion about where the midfielder's future lies but West Ham are adamant he is not going anywhere.

Rice, alongside Kalvin Phillips, has shone throughout the tournament, particularly against Germany when lining up opposite Real Madrid's Toni Kroos and Leon Goretzka of Bayern Munich, proving he can cut it at the top level.

As first reported in The Telegraph Rice has rejected two contract offers from the Hammers to tie him down to a big-money new contract and has asked to be informed of any offers the club receives for him.

The midfielder currently has a deal that runs for three more years with the option of a fourth meaning West Ham are in no desperate need of Rice signing a new contract.

However, there are a number of Hammers who earn significantly more than Rice and football.london understands that discussions about an improved contract have taken place.

That the 22-year-old has not agreed a new deal is not an indication the midfielder is attempting to force a move imminently.

West Ham's stance remains unchanged that their star man is not for sale, something David Moyes has reiterated throughout the season.

Responding to reports co-owner David Sullivan said any bid for Rice "would have to be north of £100m" or West Ham would not entertain selling Rice, Moyes said in March: "I don’t agree with the owners that Declan Rice is a £100m footballer... Far, far more than £100m."

"I look at the players who have joined some clubs from overseas and come in and had nowhere near the impact that Declan Rice would have.

"Also he is English, [we have] just had Brexit, so I wouldn’t agree with the owners if Declan Rice was only £100m. No, I wouldn’t."

Chelsea and Manchester United have a long-standing interest in Rice with Thomas Tuchel making Rice his number one priority to slot into the Blues midfield this summer.
