Aaron Ramsey reminded the world of his talent when he opened the scoring for Wales against Turkey in the Group A match at Euro 2020.
The Welsh star timed his run to perfection, brought down Gareth Bale's delicious pass on his chest and shot into the back of the net to give his country a 1-0 lead.
Wales went onto win 2-0, a result that should see them progress into the last 16 of the tournament. And Ramsey's performance has no doubt jogged the memories of a few clubs in regards to how good he really is.
The 30-year-old currently plies his trade in Italy for Juventus but is keen on a return to the UK, according to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Ramsey was quoted in the newspaper as saying: "The last two seasons have been very difficult, frustrating, not only from a physical point of view. There were factors and changes that I was not used to."
Juventus are open to offers for the Wales star but the sticking point is his wage, which the Evening Standard have reported to be nearer the £250,000 per-week mark, not the £400,000 as reported elsewhere.
Either way, Ramsey's pay packet is far higher than the current top earners at West Ham and could be the sticking point in any deal made to bring him to the London Stadium.
Crystal Palace and Everton are two other Premier League clubs who have been linked with a move for Ramsey. However, with West Ham able to offer European football they seem to be a more likely destination for Ramsey this summer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juventus could be open to a loan move for Ramsey with an option, not obligation, to purchase the player at the end of the agreement.
This could be the best solution for the Hammers with Ramsey having suffered a number of injuries throughout his career, meaning a loan would see some of the risk in the deal negated.
