West Ham insist they will not sell Issa Diop this summer despite Man Utd links

West Ham have told Manchester United that Issa Diop is not for sale.

United have been linked with a £45m move for the 22-year-old with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to reinforce his options at the back this summer.

But West Ham have made it clear Diop, who enjoyed a fine debut season in the Premier League following his £22m move to the London Stadium last summer, will not be leaving.

The French defender instantly formed a first-choice partnership with fellow arrival Fabian Balbuena last season, starting 33 of West Ham’s 38 league matches.

United meanwhile are interested in signing Harry Maguire from Leicester and have not been off by the Foxes’ £90m valuation of their defender.

Elsewhere, West Ham midfielder Reece Oxford could join up with former Hammers manager Slaven Bilic at West Brom.

Bilic was appointed West Brom manager last week and could move for Oxford on loan. The 20-year-old spent this season on loan at Augsburg in Germany.
