West Ham have held crisis talks with manager Manuel Pellegrini amid the club's poor run of form, according to reports.
The Hammers have lost five of their last seven Premier League games following defeat to Tottenham on Saturday, in Jose Mourinho's first game in charge of Spurs.
Pellegrini's side are now just three points outside the relegation zone after the 3-2 loss at the London Stadium and the Chilean met with members of the club's board on Monday to discuss recent results.
The Telegraph reports that the 66-year-old was warned that both performances and results must improve if he wants to keep his job.
After investing almost £150million on new faces since his appointment in May 2018, it is claimed that West Ham would prefer not to part company with Pellegrini.
However, according to the publication, the Hammers want to avoid a relegation battle and there are concerns among the club's hierarchy that the former Manchester City manager is not taking the current situation seriously enough.
The club's last victory came against Manchester United on September 22 and they face a potentially tricky run, with trips to Chelsea and Wolves before a home match with Arsenal in their next three games.
If Pellegrini is unable to turn things around quickly, that the Hammers are considering a number of possible replacements, including Chris Hughton, Chris Wilder and Sean Dyche.
West Ham last kept a clean sheet two months ago have not been helped by the poor performances of reserve keeper Roberto during Lukasz Fabianski’s absence.
The 33-year-old, who worked with Pellegrini at Malaga, was heavily criticised for his display against Spurs on Saturday - just a week after he punched the ball into his own net during the 3-0 defeat to Burnley .
He could be dropped for next weekend's visit to Stamford Bridge, with third-choice David Martin potentially taking his place between the sticks.
