West Ham handed significant injury boost ahead of Liverpool clash

Lukasz Fabianski could play for West Ham against Liverpool on Wednesday night.

Hammers boss David Moyes confirmed his star goalkeeper was "very close" to returning from injury and "could feature" at the London Stadium against the Reds.

The Polish shot-stopper has participated in first-team training over the last few days and will have provided a big boost for the London club.

Both Darren Randolph and David Martin have filled in for Fabianski since he suffered with a recurrence of a hip injury against Sheffield United on January 10.

West Ham have conceded six goals in their last three games without Fabianski between the sticks, with Leicester scoring four past Randolph while Everton and West Brom also scored one each.

"We've got a few injuries that we've had - we've still got one or two people out," Moyes said.

"Good news: Fabianski's very close and could feature. I'm going to make that call tomorrow - he's trained the last two or three days so it'd be good to get him back.

"Snodgrass has trained today. He has had a bit of a ligament injury and we're hoping he's going to be okay as well."
