West Ham half-time player ratings vs Atalanta as Michail Antonio gives Hammers the lead

Lukasz Fabianski - No serious efforts to save but was commanding in the air, coming out to claim every Atalanta corner with great authority. 6

Vladimir Coufal - A steady 45 minutes for the right-back. Got forward at every opportunity and provided a threat with his crossing ability. 6

Issa Diop - Another solid half for Diop although he was caught under the ball and out of position from one Atalanta attack. Cresswell's awareness on the cover spared his blushes. 6

Craig Dawson - Was beaten for pace by the Atalanta forwards on a couple of occasions but his reading of the game saw him recover in time. 6

Aaron Cresswell - Much improved set-piece delivery from last weekend, came close with a free-kick from the edge of the box. 6

Declan Rice - Did his usual job of protecting the defence well, nothing fancy but as important as ever for the Hammers. Drove forward well with the ball at his feet. 6

Tomas Soucek - A huge threat at set-pieces and made his presence count in the middle of the park. Looked like he had never been away. 6

Pablo Fornals - Played an unfamiliar left wing-back role in defence and did well helping out Cresswell. Got forward regularly, linking up nicely with Benrahma and often found himself in threatening positions. 7

Andriy Yarmolenko - Cut inside onto his left foot on a number of occasions, as is his trademark, and put in some dangerous crosses. Looked to be bringing a little of his Ukraine form to the Hammers table. 6

Said Benrahma - Showed persistence to create a shooting opportunity for himself midway through the half. Found space well even if not provided possession by teammates. Became more and more threatening as the half wore on including a powerful half volley that smashed the woodwork. Was alive to a rebound and provide a lovely chipped pass into Antonio for the only goal of the half. 8

Michail Antonio - A strong start from the striker who looked to run at the Atalanta defence when possible, was only missing the final ball. Buried his one chance on the stroke of half-time with a powerful finish following a delightful Benrahma pass. 8
