West Ham first half player ratings vs Altach: Anderson and Lanzini show class as Sanchez fumbles

Roberto - 6

Well beaten for Altach's goal but his distribution was excellent from goal kicks. Good save from Samuel Oum-Gouet's deflected effort and got down wellm to two other strikes. Good half.

Ryan Fredericks - 5

Caught out of position for Altach's goal, lovely move came down his side. Got forward well but his decision making lacked conviction in the final third.

Issa Diop - 5

Solid enough, wasn't exactly tested much by Altach.  Blocked a couple of attempts and won his headers powerfully.

Angelo Ogbonna -  5

Brilliant defending bailed out Carlos Sanchez. Seemed to lose Fischer for Altach's goal.

Ben Johnson - 6

Solid enough but did get beaten a couple of times by the Altach right winger. Passing was a bit iffy. Hit the crossbar with an effort from range but got better as the half went on.

Carlos Sanchez - 5

Gave the ball away with his first touch of the ball after nine months out injured but then opened the scoring in the sixth minute. Looked jumpy on the ball constantly. Showed nice touches but also some abysmal ones. Booked, which is nigh on standard for him.

Mark Noble - 6

Outstanding pass to set up Antonio for the second goal of the game. Did usual Noble things, patrolled the midfield.

Manuel Lanzini - 7

Spread the play beautifully on a number of occasions. Showed his class against some decent opposition in all fairness.

Robert Snodgrass - 6

Cracking - and completely expected - corner delivery for Sanchez's goal. Buzzed around with a lot of energy.

Felipe Anderson - 7

Had one good run down the left early on and a chip cleared off the line. Always a threat and looked a level or two above most others on the pitch.

Michail Antonio - 6

Played through the middle in the first half and scored. Who needs Maxi Gomez? Took the ball down beautifully before rounding the keeper to slot home West Ham's second.
