West Ham fans will hate what Declan Rice has said about Spurs, Tanguy Ndombele and Paulo Dybala

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has risked upsetting Hammers fans by hailing London rivals Spurs' summer transfer business.

Tottenham have broken their club record to sign French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon this summer, while the Lilywhites are closing in on the signing of Paulo Dybala from Juventus on transfer deadline day.

And Rice has praised the Hammers' London rivals ahead of the new Premier League campaign, with the English international adding that he is relishing the prospect of coming up against the Tottenham new boys this season.

But his comments about Spurs could rile some West Ham supporters, with the Hammers' midfielder making a bold prediction about Tottenham's prospects for the season ahead.

“Everyone is strengthening. I am really looking forward to playing Spurs again," he said, speaking on Talksport.

"They have signed some top players and I am looking forward to playing against Tanguy Ndombele. I saw him at Lyon in the Champions League, and the French guys here have been saying how good a player he is and I am looking forward to playing against him."

But Ndombele is not the only player Rice has been speaking about, with the West Ham star giving his verdict on Spurs trying to sign Dybala from Juventus on deadline day, and how that would boost Mauricio Pochettino's men.

“[Paulo] Dybala will be a great addition," he said.

"Look at the stadium and the players they have got, they have definitely got the squad to be challenging there for titles.”
