West Ham fans, where should you strengthen in the transfer window?

West Ham were fighting to maintain their top-flight status before the coronavirus pandemic threw the football season into chaos.

Should they eventually manage to avoid a bottom-three finish, David Moyes and co will no doubt be keen to ensure that the squad is strengthened sufficiently to swerve another relegation battle next season.

With no return date yet agreed for the Premier League, the positioning of the next ‘summer’ window is equally as unclear, but clubs will still be considering where to move once the market opens.

Speaking back in January, Moyes outlined his ambition for West Ham to alter the approach made in the transfer market over recent years and switch their focus to young, future internationals.

"I want to stop the idea that what we’re doing is just buying someone who will fill the gap,” he said.

“I want it to be the vision for the club that we’re looking to bring in young, attractive, hungry players who are saying ‘we’re going to make West Ham better’.

“I know about footballers and I think players who are hungry and players who are trying to climb that ladder, trying to be Premier League footballers, we have to have a mix of that."

Here at Standard Sport, we want to know what you think.

Firstly, we’ll be asking you to select an area of the team to improve before offering up a list of known targets, suggested options, and the pick from the strongest transfer rumours.

So to kick things off, which area of the pitch do you think West Ham need to strengthen?
