West Ham supporters staged a sit-in protest after their 3-1 win over Newcastle at the London Stadium.
The sit-in, the latest in a series of sustained protests against the club’s board, saw supporters gather in five designated areas in the London Stadium for up to 40 minutes after the full-time whistle.
Supporters voiced their frustrations at chairman David Sullivan and vice-chair Karren Brady, whom the supporters’ group Hammers United are calling on to resign. Both were in attendance at the London Stadium.
Speaking after the game, Nuno addressed the protest.
“I think the fans saw something in the team today,” he told reporters.

“This is what we want, this is how we should look at the situation: how can we as a team show to our fans that we want to fight, we want to change the situation, we want to make things tough for our opponents, we want to change our game, we want to improve our game.
“The fans, I cannot thank them enough.”
The sit-in comes after supporters marched on the directors’ entrance ahead of West Ham’s 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace, with thousands of fans partaking in a total boycott of Nuno Espirito Santo’s first home game in charge against Brentford.
A mass march is expected to take place before next weekend’s crucial home game against Burnley, with a fan petition, which has garnered more than 16,000 signatures, set to be handed in calling for Sullivan and Brady’s resignations.
The petition follows the West Ham Fan Advisory Board’s (FAB) decision to issue a vote of no confidence in the club’s board at the end of September.
The club met with the FAB last week to discuss supporter concerns.
Nuno’s first win as West Ham boss will do little to quell supporter unrest, with Hammers United clear that any protests are aimed at the board, and Nuno and the squad have the supporters’ full backing.
