West Ham fans react to double deadline day swoop with Alex Kral and Nikola Vlasic signing

West Ham's transfer deadline day got off to a bang with the early arrival of Nikola Vlasic before Alex Kral signed 11 hours later.

The Hammers have filled two important spots in their squad with Vlasic coming in to fill an attacking role and Kral adding depth to David Moyes' midfield options.

The West Ham manager was thrilled to get the signings over the line before the 11 pm deadline.

"I am delighted to welcome Alex to West Ham United," said Moyes. "He will provide good competition in the centre of midfield. He is another young, talented player who we feel has a big potential and will be capable of adapting to the demands of the Premier League.

The manager was equally effusive over the addition of former Everton man Vlasic: “I am delighted to welcome Nikola to West Ham United," said the manager.

"I have been watching Nikola improve over recent seasons, he has got a good goals and assists record during that time. He is also a Croatia international with experience and still being only 23, I feel there is more to come from him."

The Hammers fans were equally pleased with the transfer business the club has done throughout the summer.

It was not just the fans who were pleased to see the new men arrive at the club with Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal all taking to social media to welcome the arrivals.

Both Kral and Vlasic are away on international duty with Czech Republic and Croatia respectively and will join fellow new signing Kurt Zouma at the Rush Green training ground after the World Cup qualifiers.

The trio of arrivals along with goalkeeper Alphonse Areola could all make their Hammers debut on September 11 away to Southampton.

However, with his team sitting in second spot after two wins and a draw so far this season, Moyes is likely to bide his time when introducing the new signings.
