West Ham fans cannot believe one Manuel Pellegini decision for Leicester City clash

Carlos Sanchez makes his first Premier League start of the season as West Ham take on Leicester City at London Stadium as Manuel Pellegrini has rotated his squad heavily.

The Chilean, who is desperately clinging on to his job after a run of two wins in 12 games, has made a massive seven changes to the side that lost to Crystal Palace on Boxing Day.

Sanchez replaces Mark Noble in the side with the skipper not risked playing two games in 48 hours. With Ogbonna, football.london understands he has a knock.

Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini, Arthur Masuaku, Ryan Fredericks, Lukasz Fabianski and Issa Diop are also part of the starting eleven for Saturday evening's game in east London.

The inclusion of Sanchez however is one that has raised many eyebrows as he has barely played since he joined the club from Fiorentina in the summer of 2018.

Sanchez missed eight months of last season after rupturing knee ligaments in the Carabao Cup victory over Macclesfield and didn't feature for the rest of the campaign.

In 2019/20, Sanchez has played a grand total of 51 minutes in the Premier League. The most he has played in a game is a 26-minute appearance in the defeat to Spurs last month.

20-year-old Declan Rice captains the side this evening in place of Noble in a midfield pair alongside Sanchez.

West Ham team vs Leicester: Fabianski; Fredericks, Balbuena, Diop, Masuaku; Rice, Sanchez, Fornals, Lanzini; Anderson Haller.
