West Ham fans are all saying the same thing about Adrian as he makes his Liverpool debut

Former West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian has made his Liverpool debut sooner than he would have expected.

The Spaniard was a first half substitute for last season's Premier League runners up, coming on for the injured Alisson with the Reds 3-0 to the good against newly promoted Norwich.

Adrian signed for Liverpool on a free transfer on August 5th after the expiry of his contract at the London Stadium, he was bought in to replace Simon Mingolet, who departed Anfield at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old had played 150 times in the six years that he spent at West Ham, although had to settle for a role as second choice behind Łukasz Fabiański during the 2018/19 season.

Liverpool enjoyed the perfect start to their Premier League season when they raced into a three nil lead against Norwich in the first half of the opening league game.

But, the one blotch was an injury to the 2018/19 golden glove winner Alisson. The injury forced the Brazilian from the field of play, allowing Adrian to make his debut for the Reds, the former Hammer receiving a warm reception from the Kop as he made his way onto the pitch.

It wasn't only Anfield where there was a reaction to the goalkeeper's debut, as West Ham fans took to social media to give their thoughts.

Manuel Pellegrini press conference

The Spaniard was a popular figure among Hammers fans, with many wishing him well for his new team, although some weren't used to seeing him turn out for another club.

Take a look at some of the reaction below.

Adrian may now have the chance to have a run in the team under Jurgen Klopp, depending on the severity of Alisson's injury.
