West Ham fan makes cheeky request to Man City after Premier League fixture postponed

A West Ham fan have made a cheeky request to Manchester City after the Premier League clash between the two sides at the Etihad Stadium was postponed - and Blues supporters are behind the idea!

Storm Ciara has caused chaos in England and the decision to call off the game was made just after 11am on Sunday morning.

A City spokesman said: "Due to extreme and escalating weather conditions and in the interests of supporter and staff safety, today’s match has been postponed.

"This decision has been made by Manchester City’s Safety Officer following consultation with club stakeholders and officials at West Ham United.

"Further information regarding the rescheduling of today’s match will be published in due course."

West Ham currently sit in the bottom three of the Premier League table, behind Aston Villa in 17th place by just one point, whereas City are second but remain 22 points behind league leaders Liverpool.

With the Hammers desperate to avoid relegation and City's title challenge all but over, a West Ham fan has made a cheeky offer to give the Blues six points next year in exchange for forfeiting the rearranged clash to hand them three vital points in the race for safety.

City have a crucial Champions League fixture against Real Madrid on the horizon and plenty of Blues supporters were on board with the idea.

Here is what they had to say on social media:
