Reports from the Netherlands have linked West Ham with a move for Ajax's teenage forward Lassina Traoré.
According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf via Voetbal Primeur, the Burkino Faso international could be on his way to the Premier League in the near future. However, it is not just West Ham who are keen on the 19-year-old, Wolverhampton Wanderers are also very much in the frame for the youngster's signature.
Traoré has been in excellent form this season, registering eight goals and eight assists in just 16 games for the Dutch giants, including five in one match, when Ajax thrashed VVV-Venlo 13-0, in October.
The teenager's contract expires in 18 months, a fact that could work in the favour of West Ham as they look to secure his services. Ajax, however, do not want to sell and are aiming to keep the forward until the end of the season before sanctioning any transfer away from the club.
West Ham are on the lookout for extra firepower this transfer window after Sébastien Haller has proved inconsistent when deputising for the injured Michail Antonio.
The other Premier League side in the frame for Traoré have also struggled to replace their figurehead, with Fabio Silva unable to match the goalscoring exploits of Raúl Jiménez following his horrific head injury earlier in the season.
In other West Ham transfer news, unwanted midfielder Robert Snodgrass is close to the exit door, with West Bromwich Albion his most likely destination.
On Wednesday Sky Sports reported the former Scotland international was close to a permanent move away from the London Stadium to join former Hammers manager Sam Allardyce in the West Midlands.
Snodgrass' potential exit comes as no surprise with the midfielder seeing only four minutes of Premier League action this season and will relieve the club of his reported £43,000-a-week salary.
