West Ham duo join Arsenal, Man United and Chelsea stars in team of the week after Everton win

West Ham United duo Jarrod Bowen and Nayef Aguerd both played key roles for the Hammers in their 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday.

The Hammers ended a run of seven league matches without a win by picking up a 2-0 victory on Saturday afternoon inside the London Stadium, with West Ham moving up to 16th and a point clear of the relegation zone after beating the Toffees.

Two players key to that were winger Jarrod Bowen and centre-back Nayef Aguerd. Bowen scored twice in seven first half minutes to seal three points, while Moroccan defender Aguerd helped the backline keep their first league clean sheet in eight matches.

Their performances have not gone unnoticed, with both men named in WhoScored.com’s Premier League’s Team of the Week.

Aguerd’s performance was given a rating of 8.21 out of 10 by WhoScored after winning four aerial duels, making ten clearances and winning five tackles. Bowen’s first two goals after a drought of 99 days led to him earning a rating of 8.42, the highest of any midfielder in the Premier League over the weekend.

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka are among the other names in the 11. Haaland was the highest-rated player in the side after a hat-trick helped seal a 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday, earning a rating of 9.05. Saka scored once and made four key passes for the Gunners, earning him a rating of 8.2.

WhoScored.com’s Premier League Team of the Week: David Raya (Brentford); Kieran Trippier (Newcastle United), Nayef Aguerd (West Ham United), Lisandro Martinez (Manchester United), Antonee Robinson (Fulham); Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United), Jorginho (Chelsea), Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton and Hove Albion); Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Eddie Nketiah (Arsenal)
