West Ham confirm transfer decision as defender completes £400,000 Birmingham City switch

Birmingham City have completed the £400,000 signing of left-back Manny Longelo from West Ham United.

The 22-year-old defender has spent the season so far on loan with the Championship outfit from the Hammers, making 17 appearances for the Blues, including a start in their FA Cup fourth round replay against Blackburn Rovers.

Longelo’s exit ends a spell of over a decade with the Hammers, having joined the club at under-10s level and has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at St Andrew's, keeping him there until June 2026.

Longelo’s two senior appearances for West Ham came against Hull City in the Carabao Cup and Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League.
