West Ham captain Mark Noble reveals unnecessary actions of team-mate in dressing room after Liverpool defeat

West Ham captain Mark Noble has said there was no need for his team-mate Lukasz Fabianski to apologise following defeat to Liverpool.

The Polish shot-stopper was at fault for Mohamed Salah's equalising strike as the ball slipped through his legs to make it 2-2 to the Reds.

Sadio Mane sealed a 3-2 win for Liverpool who had lead through Gini Wijnaldum before being pegged back by the Hammers.

Speaking after the match the 32-year-old midfielder explained why Fabianski didn't need to say sorry following David Moyes' side's defeat.

Noble told Sky Sports: "There have been many a time when I have walked in the changing room and said 'thank you' for the saves he has pulled off.

"As I said, it's part of football. But this season individual errors have cost us a lot of points.

"He said to the lads [sorry], he doesn't need to do that, everyone makes mistakes.

"It's football. We all make mistakes in life and that's what happens.

"He came in and said 'sorry' but, for me, I don't like it. I don't want him to do that because he has saved us many a time."
