West Ham captain Mark Noble 'angry and sad' about sale of Grady Diangana

West Ham captain Mark Noble is "angry and sad" about Grady Diangana's £18million move to West Brom.

Diangrady has opted to rejoin the Baggies after helped Slaven Bilic's side to Premier League promotion while on loan last season.

West Ham have inserted a 20 per cent sell-on clause in the transfer, with the player highly rated at the club but in need of money to refresh the squad.

Noble tweeted: "As captain of this football club I'm gutted, angry and sad that Grady has left, great kid with a great future!!!!!"

Declan Rice appeared to agree with his captain by 'liking' the tweet. Jack Wilshere responded to Diangana's goodbye post on Instagram with: "Go and do your thing in a club that respects you. Big player with a big future."

In their statement confirming Diangana's exit, West Ham said: "The decision to sell Grady has been made reluctantly but – ultimately – in the best interests of the Club and with the aim to strengthen the squad in different areas at this time.

"The money received for Grady will be reinvested entirely in the team, in line with the manager’s targets.

"We believe that this will give us the best possible chance of ensuring we have a balanced squad to compete in the Premier League and capable of reaching our objectives and ambitions this season."
