Reigning Betway Cup champions West Ham will face Athletic Bilbao in their final pre-season friendly ahead of the 2019/20 season on August 3, a week before the new campaign gets underway.
It will also be the first pre-season game at West Ham's home in east London since Juventus were the visitors before the 2016/17 got underway and they snared the prestigious trophy with a 3-2 win over the Hammers.
West Ham were keen to get Lazio over to Stratford for the game however that didn't pan out and the Italian side will play Bournemouth instead on the south coast.
Tickets for the game against Bilbao, which kicks off at 3pm on the 3rd, will start at just £2 for U18s and £10 for adults, and will be available to purchase from Tuesday 11 June, to allow the Season Ticket relocation window to take place.
After being defeated by Juve and then also losing out to Werder Bremen ahead of the 2017/18 season, West Ham got the trophy back as they defeated Mainz on penalties last summer to win the trophy for the first time.
In August 2000, Bilbao visited the Boleyn Ground for Julian Dicks’ Testimonial Match, which ended in a 2-1 win for the Spanish side.
The Hammers are facing Austrian side Altach in their first pre-season friendly on July 11 at the end of their training camp in Switzerland before heading off to China for the Premier League Asia Trophy a few days later where they will take on Manchester City and either Newcastle United or Wolves.
