West Ham agree £3.3m transfer deal as Craig Dawson set to complete Wolves switch

West Ham United centre-back Craig Dawson is closing in on a January move to Wolverhampton Wanderers after a deal between the two clubs has been agreed.

football.london understands a £3.3million deal has been struck after Wolves came close to signing the 32-year-old centre-back in the summer, only for a move to fall through at the end of the window.

Wolves made a bid to sign Dawson before the two sides met a week ago, which led to Dawson being left out of the Hammers’ squad at Molineux for the 1-0 defeat.

Julen Lopetegui’s side came back in for the ex-West Bromwich Albion defender this week with a bid of £3.3million and after being left out of the Hammers’ squad for their 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday, a move looks closer to being completed and could be finalised as early as Sunday.

Initially arriving on loan from Watford in 2020, Dawson has made 87 appearances for the club in all competitions and scored nine times for West Ham.

Dawson helped West Ham reach the semi-finals of last season’s Europa League and was named in the Europa League’s Team of the Year.
