West Ham 1-5 Newcastle player ratings: Callum Wilson and Joelinton in sparkling form

Newcastle United ran riot at the London Stadium thanks to two goals each from Joelinton and Callum Wilson and a moment of genius from Alexander Isak.

The win keeps them in third place in the Premier League and boosts their already impressive goal difference. Fans chanted about trips to Europe in the closing stages.

And players threw their shirts into the crowd as the black and whites took a major stride towards the Champions League.

Here's how Newcastle players rated at West Ham:

Nick Pope 7

A couple of testing moments but still made some good saves. The post-game enquiry might include what went wrong for Zouma goal.

Kieran Trippier 8

Another workaholic performance from the England full-back. Pumped in nine crosses.

Fabian Schar 9

It doesn't get much better than this. A defensive masterclass from the Switzerland star topped off with an assist for Joelinton.

Sven Botman 8

Recovered from first half lapse when Zouma broke past him. Pretty polished in second half.

Dan Burn 8

Didn't shirk a single tackle. Pushed forward to pile the pressure on in second half.

Bruno Guimaraes 9

Survived early moment when the ball slammed against his own post. Helped himself to two assists.

Sean Longstaff 8

Covered a serious amount of ground and showed his range of passing.

Joelinton 9

Where do you start. Rock solid. Brilliant in the air - oh and two goals!

Allan Saint-Maximin 9

A sumptuous cross for Wilson to head home. Very close to his brilliant best.

Jacob Murphy 9

Played a big part in victory with non-stop running and excellent piece of awareness to pinch ball and set up the important third goal.

Callum Wilson 10

Two strikes from the number 9 as he led the line superbly. Almost helped himself to a cheeky hat-trick with halfway line attempt. Man of the match.

Subs

Worked hard.

Alexander Isak 8 (for Wilson 63)

Back in the goals.

Joe Willock 7 (for Murphy 63)

Shrugged off injury woes.

Matt Targett (for Burn 84)

Manquillo (for Trippier 87)

Continues to drive the team forward with purpose and passion.

Fabian Schar 8

A confident and composed first half topped off with an assist for Joelinton.

Superb sliding tackle on Antonio summed up his contributions. Zouma bundled past him to pull a goal back.

Dan Burn 7

Caught napping early on by Bowen but has grown in confidence.

Bruno Guimaraes 8

Has covered a serious amount of ground so far.
