West end sports club needs young Glaswegians for new project to reduce loneliness

A west end bowling club is on the hunt for youngsters to take part in their exciting new project.

Partickhill Bowling and Community Club are launching 'Bowled Over', a pioneering, intergenerational scheme which aims to reduce social isolation and increase the health and wellbeing of participants.

The group needs 18-25 year olds to get involved in the bowling project, which will see young and old take to the green together.

It's thanks to a £2,000 grant from the Postcode Community Trust that they've been able to lay on the innovative opportunity, which rolls into action from August 22 at 6pm.

But they just need some young Glaswegians to sign up.

If you would like to take part, or know someone who may be interested, please find more information on the club's Facebook page here or email info@partickhillbowls.co.uk.
