West end restaurant offering free food and company to everyone on Xmas Eve

A restaurant in the west end of Glasgow is offering free food and company to those who may go without on Christmas Eve.

Sultan's, on Great Western Road near Byres Road, has announced that they will open tomorrow (Tuesday December 24) from 12pm until 4pm to serve vulnerable members of the community.

The Indian restaurant, which opened back in February, is doing its bit to help "the homeless, refugees, food bank users and anyone hungry" according to a post published on their Facebook page.

The fantastic initiative is one of many being hosted by kind-hearted restaurant owners in the city, with the likes of Bombay Blues on Hope Street and Turkiye in Candleriggs swinging open their doors on Christmas Day to help those need.

Hats off to each and every one of them!
