Take a look outside today (or venture out if you dare) and you'd be forgiven for thinking it's winter already.
Of course it isn't, we're still in the delightful full throws of the Scottish summer, silly!
But our attention has still been grabbed by this exciting announcement: the date for the west end Christmas lights switch on.
Yes those organised folk in the west of our city are getting all prepared for the yuletide season already, and have told us when the annual sparkling extravaganza takes place for 2019.
The festive fun will take place, as always, across Vinicombe Street, Ashton Lane, Cresswell Lane and Ruthven Lane.
And this year, they've earmarked December 1 for the big day.
The market will begin at 12pm and there will be a selection of local traders on site selling gifts, crafts, food and drink.
There will also be entertainment on the main stage and lanes while the lights will be switched on at 5.30pm.
